Gilded Fault Lines

Gilded Fault Lines is a meditation on pressure, permanence, and the beauty that forms under strain. Layers of deep oxblood and burnished gold encase a fractured core—its surface cracked and imperfect, yet luminous. The gilded center appears both protected and exposed, as though time itself pressed against it until something sacred emerged.

Rich texture and mixed media elements create a tactile landscape: raised edges, embedded pigments, and intentional fractures invite the viewer closer, asking them to confront what happens when something precious is held too tightly. Flecks of color puncture the composition like remnants of memory, disrupting the solemn palette with quiet defiance.
